Con el fin de lograr la sostenibilidad pesquera, con el apoyo de compradores estadounidenses, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) trabaja con la industria pesquera peruana y el gobierno peruano en el Proyecto de Mejoramiento Pesquero para que la pesquería del perico obtenga la certificación del Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).

In order to achieve fishery sustainability, with the support of U.S. buyers, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is working with the Peruvian fishing industry and the Peruvian government on the Fishery Improvement Project to have the perico fishery certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).
